Compensation for :"Rate Photos--for Male Workers" which was posted yesterday.Work through 20 pairs of images marking them as per the instructions - watch a short clip of instructions for a puzzle - work on that puzzle - followed by more questions - depending on how many hints you took in the puzzle you have to wait to get the code at the end.
I wrote to the requester who kindly offered to pay me as I originally returned the hit in my frustration. I did suggest to the requester to put the MTurk timer to 24 hours as I had seen that others had had the same problem.
Timing is the original timing I had when I worked on it yesterday.
Cons
You cannot advance until you solve the puzzle - each time you ask for a hint it adds 2 minutes to the hit - I eventually solved the puzzle which was very frustrating - answered more questions - when I got to the end I got a screen notifying me that I would not get a code until I waited 20 minutes which was my penalty for getting x amount of hints in the puzzle - I got very frustrated as the time on MTurk did not have that time left - I ended up returning the hit.Advice to Requester

Some nice looking outdoor images in the first section.Cons
This "logic" puzzle in the second part is an absolute nightmare. You end up getting a 2 minute "penalty" for every hint you take; up to 12 hints, and most people WILL need them all. After this, more bubbles, then you get to wait 24 minutes before you can even get a completion code. And if you get clever and tab over to something else, the timer will stop counting.Advice to Requester
Do us all a favor and close your mturk account.
